Wet Rainy Saturday

It's a miserable wet rainy Saturday here in northwestern Illinois. I have one and a half panels done on the silk sari yarn bag. Anyone interested in the pattern it is at www.knitty.com. One of my favorite knitting websites. Maybe I'll steal a few minutes later on to work on it between checking ebay items that I want to bid on and the house stuff that needs doing!!

Booga Booga

The Booga bag is finshed. Knitted from Noro Kureyon #165 it felted like a dream and is so cute! I already have another colorway in Kureyon for a second Booga. Pictures to come. Seems I have a thing for bags lately since I started a recycled silk sari yarn bag last night. My husband wonders why does anyone need that many bags?? There are so many other projects in the line up-socks, baby hat, baby blanket, sweater for my daughter, and who knows what else. I already have yarn bought for two more projects before I finish the current one. I'm a yarnaholic. As soon as I get the spinning thing figured out I'll have my own yarn to add to the huge stash in my bedroom! Even though I'm still learning I already bought two beautiful hand-dyed rovings at a fiber fair on saturday. I feel a second stash basket coming on. It's complete madness.

Hello!!

So here I sit, what do I say? Will anyone even care?? I am as my blog title says a knitter, runner, and spinner (trying to spin yarn, just got my wheel). In addition to those I am a mother to a vibrant 5 year old and married to a man who completes me in every way. I live in a small town which thankfully is close to several bigger towns. Small towns can be great but have their drawbacks too. I come from a very freethinking family so my views on the world aren't always the norm around here. Going to keep it short and sweet for tonight. Hope as I post more someone out there might be interested in something I have to say.
